So, you’ve just finished binge-watching The Night Agent on Netflix, and now you’re wondering who all those brilliant people were. You’re not alone—I’m right there with you, still catching my breath from all the twists. Let’s break down the stellar cast behind this addictive spy thriller, because knowing the actors makes the show even more fun.
The Dynamic Duo: Peter and Rose
Gabriel Basso plays Peter Sutherland, the titular Night Agent who stumbles into a massive conspiracy. You might remember him from Super 8 or The Big C, but here he’s all grown up—and seriously intense. He brings a quiet, everyman charm that makes you root for him even when he’s dodging bullets.
Opposite him is Luciane Buchanan as Rose Larkin, the tech CEO turned fugitive. She’s not just a damsel in distress—she’s whip-smart and scrappy, and Buchanan’s performance makes her feel like a real person you’d want on your team. Their chemistry? Electrifying. Seriously, you’ll be yelling at the screen for them to just hug it out already.

The Heroes (and Villains) You’ll Love to Hate
Hong Chau steals every scene as Diane Farr, the White House chief of staff with her own agenda. She’s so good at playing cool and calculating that you’ll almost trust her—until you remember she’s the reason Peter’s life is a mess. Chau’s Oscar-nominated talent shines through even in these tense phone calls.
Then there’s DB Woodside as Erik Monks, Peter’s gruff but loyal mentor. If you loved him in 24 or Buffy, you’ll adore his no-nonsense energy here. He delivers lines like “Stay alive” with such weight that you’ll carry them with you long after the episode ends.

Eve Harlow plays Ellen, a cyber-expert who’s as funny as she is lethal. Her sarcastic one-liners cut through the tension like a knife—and you’ll find yourself grinning at her, even when she’s hacking into top-secret servers. Phoebe-Rae Taylor as Maddie Redfield, the Vice President’s daughter, brings a surprising vulnerability. She’s not just a plot point; she’s a teenager caught in a nightmare, and Taylor makes you feel every ounce of her fear.
Don’t sleep on Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington, a Secret Service agent with a serious chip on her shoulder. Her arc from skeptic to ally is one of the show’s most satisfying turns. And Sarah Desjardins as Evelyn, the mysterious neighbor? She’ll keep you guessing until the very last frame.

Why This Matters for Your Binge-Watching Joy
Knowing the cast doesn’t just make you a better trivia champion—it deepens your connection to the story. When you see Gabriel Basso running down a corridor, you’re not just watching an actor; you’re watching a guy who trained for months to do his own stunts. That sweat and grit is real, and it makes the chase scenes feel more like you’re right there beside him.
Plus, spotting actors from other shows is a total delight. That’s Enrique Murciano as Agent Parrish? Yep, he was in Without a Trace! It’s like a spy-themed family reunion for your brain, and it makes every rewatch a new little adventure.
